The Summer Special Memorization Exam for the year 2019 was held on 4th September 2019. Pupils of respective classes have to give a memorization on any topics of Buddhist texts of their choice.

Organizer for the 14th Tibetan College Students’ Conference organized a Seminar on "Secular Ethics for a Better Society" at Sera Jey Tashi Choeling auditorium on 30th Aug 2019.

His Eminence Logoan Tulku Tenzin Jampa Choesang, abbot of Sera Jey Monastic University, was the chief guest speaker, His Eminence Tashi Tsering, abbot of Sera Mey Monastic University, Mis. Dhanya Ravi the eminent motivational speaker, were also the guest speakers.

The annual Rigchung, the Minor Debate Ceremony, for the year 2019 was held from 25 - 28 August 2019. This is a traditional ceremony in the Gelugpa monastic institutes, for pupils completing the Shung / base studies of the Paramita stage, before the assembly. Where meritorious pupils from the class present on the topics - ཆོས་འཁོར། Turning the wheel of Dharma, རིགས། Buddha Nature, སྦྱོར་ལམ། Preparatory Path, སྐྱབས་གསུམ།Three Jewels, བཀའ་བསྟན་བཅོས།Buddha’s Canon and its commentaries, ཡང་དག་མཐའ། Ultimate reality, བྱམས་གཞུང། Maitreya Text, སེམས་བསྐྱེད། Bodhichitta.

Sera Jey Monastery organized a special Long Life Prayer Ceremony (Tenshuk) to H.E. 104th Gaden Tri-Rinpoche Lobsang Tenzin on 14th August 2019. The ceremony was attended by the two next senior most Gelug head - H.E. Shartse Choeje and H.E. Jangtse Choeje, abbots of other monasteries, representatives from the two settlement office, and other dignitaries, besides Tulkus, Geshes and sangha members of Sera Jey & Sera Mey Monastery.

Sera Jey Monastery extended a very warm Welcome Ceremony to the three main Gelugpa heads - H.E. 104th Gaden Tri-Rinpoche, H.E. Shartse Choeje & H.E. Jangtse Choeje on 12th August 2019 afternoon.
