Siddegowda, V.C. of Tumkur University, Superannuation Ceremony of his professorship at University of Mysore at Tumkur University on 31st Oct'19. The Chief Secretary felicitated the Hon’ble VC on the auspicious occasion.

SJ IGNOU Special Study Centre 13156-D organized IGNOU Induction Program on 19 October 2019. Shri G.H. Imrapur, Regional Director of Bangalore IGNOU Chapter was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker.

Scholars and faculty of Sera Jey Monastic University participated at the Exchange Program organized by Social Works Department of Tumkur University on 14 November 2019. Scholars from Sera Jey gave presentation on Ancient Indian Psychology, and the department of Psychology, Social Works Department & History of Tumkur University presented lecture on Modern Psychology & Ancient Indian Vedic tradition.
Alongside the exchange program, World Mental Health Day ceremony was observed.

Sera Jey Monastery is organizing a Conference on "Uma Gongpa Rabsel" - an Extensive Exposition of “Entering The Middle Way”, on 24th November 2019 at Sera Jey Tashi Choeling Centre, in commemoration of Je Tsong Khapa's 600th Maha Parinirvana and the 600th founding anniversary of Sera Monastery by Je-Jamchen Choeje.

The Annual Memorization Examination for the year 2019 was scheduled from 16th - 21st September 2019. Besides the Memorization exam, two other examinations were also held in the followup - Supplementary & Special Topics in Buddhist texts relevant to the curriculum.
