In our effort to observing these precautions, in the interest of all, we are obliged to humbly request devotees, visitors & guests to avoid visiting the monastery & its premises during the “Hayagriva Retreat Ceremony” scheduled from 12th – 22nd March 2020.

Losar Ceremony 24feb2020The Losar ceremony, Tibetan New Iron Rat Year 2147, was held at the early morning hours of 24th February 2020, the 1st day of 1st Tibetan Lunar calendar month. Prayer offerings and scarf offerings to His Holiness The Dalai Lama was performed at the main prayer hall. Sweet rice and tea were served to the assembly, and Khapse - Tibetan cookies were distributed.

Guthor 22feb2020The Guthor Ceremony held annually on the 29th day of 11th Tibetan Lunar calendar month was held on 22nd February 2020. It is a ritual ceremony performed for dispelling all negative obstacles for the coming new year, where a specially crafted Flour cake thorma is incinerated, after a three day puja ceremony.

Phurjel 20Feb2020Phurjel, Hayagriva Dagger Blessing Ceremony, the annual event held every 27th day of the 11th Tibetan Lunar calendar month, was held on 20th February 2020. The Tamdin Phurba (Hayagriva Dagger) is taken out once in a year from its concealment, to bless sentient beings and the environment. On this day, devotees come to receive its sacred blessings at the monastery.
