Sera Jey monastery's new disciplinarian (Dean) Geshe Ngodup Dorjee and his two assistants instatement ceremony were held on the customary day of Ganden Ngamchos (Lama Tsong Khapa Day) 25th Day of the 10th Tibetan Lunar Calendar, falling on 10 December 2020. The ceremony were held with limited assembly in observance of the COVID-19 protocol.

The Monastery distributed dry rations to the monk community on 18th November 2020 for the 8th round since the periodic lockdowns from the global pandemic that has affected every corner of human society.

Vegetables were distributed to the monk community on 7th November 2020 as per the wishes of a study group from Singapore, who has sponsored this offering during the auspicious occasion of Buddha Shakyamuni's descent from heaven, Lhabab Duschen, amid the continuing lockdown observed by the monastery.

At the ongoing preventive measures against the global COVID-19 pandemic, Face Mask and Soaps were distributed to member monks of both Sera Jey and Sera Mey Monastery on 25 October 2020.
