Sera Jey Monastery organized a special Karmic Puja and Medicine Buddha Jangwa Puja for the deceased on 13th June 2019. The puja ceremony was performed by Abbot- Kyabje Khen Rinpoche, Tulkus and Geshes.

The annual Summer Class 2019 for lay students during summer vacation is concluded today. A brief closing ceremony was organized by Sera Jey Modern Education Department with token of thanks to teachers & staffs. Students were also handed a participation certificate and a token gift. The program is part of Sera Jey Monastery's social and education services to communities that has been adopted on the vision guidelines of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Khen Rinpoche granted a session of Lamrim Teachings to pupil monks on 29th May 2019. It is customary for the monastery's abbot to grant a complete Lamrim Teachings to pupil monks during their abbotship tenure. Every pupil monks attend and receive the teachings with great reverence.

The Annual Exam Prize Distribution Ceremony for the year 2019 was held on 22nd & 23rd of May 2019 at debate courtyard of the monastery. HE Gaden Tri-Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony attended by venerable Abbot, Discplinarian, Administrators, Board of Examination, Khangtsen and department heads of Sera Jey and pupil monks.

Ven. Jamyang Choega bagged the Katrin Jedren Award of EXcellence, for securing first position successively in all the annual examination of the four-year Madhyamika (Middle Path) course.

Yarling Geshe Graduation Ceremony for the year 2019 was scheduled from 13 - 15 May 2019. Ten monks received their Lingse Geshe certificates during the three day graduation ceremony. Lingse Geshe is the only one of the four Geshe categories, with two graduation ceremonies in a year, Yarling (summer) and Guenling (winter).
