It was a great privilege for Sera Jey Monastery, to offer The Memento of Gratitude in honor the 90th Birthday of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama, the supreme leader & Noble Peace Laureate, who has tirelessly dedicated His entire life not only for the people and cause of Tibet, but has exceptionally endeavored towards the preservation & promotion of the Buddha Dharma the world over.
On behalf of the monk community of Sera Jey Monastery, the Abbot & the Administration members, presented The Memento of Gratitude with the Message, to His Holiness, on February 8, 2025.

Sera Jey Monastery observed a ceremony felicitating the 36th Birthday of H.E. The 11th Kunzig Panchen Rinpoche Jetsun Tenzin Gedhun Yeshi Trinley Phuntsok Pal Sangpo on 25th April 2025. The celebration ceremony was presided by the Abbot in the presence of the monastery’s council secretariat, heads of Khangtsens, departments and the Administration.

H.E. The 104th Gaden Trisur Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Tenzin, granted the sacred YIdam Tadin Yangsang’s Torwang at Sera Jey Monastery’s main prayer hall on 2nd June 2025. The ceremony was attended by many monks & lay devotees.

Sera Jey Monastery celebrated the 90th Birthday of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama on 6th July 2025 morning at the main prayer hall. The celebration ceremony was presided by the Chief Disciplinarian in the presence of the monastery’s Chant Master, Administration Committee, Tulkus, Heads of Departments and Khangtsens, Geshes and general monks. The assembly made prayer offerings followed by sweet rice & tea service to all. The special crafted cake was cut and distributed to all the attendees.

In celebration of His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday, earmarked as the Year of Compassion, Sera Jey Monastery planted fruits and tree saplings at the monastery’s field land on 9th July 2025. The monastery’s Disciplinarian, Chant Master, Administration, Department & Khangtsen heads and staffs offered prayers, followed by cake cutting ceremony and the tree sapling plantings.
