On June 4, 2025 the Graduation Ceremony of the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative’s 6-Year Implementation Program was held at the Drepung Losiling Monastery in the presence of His Eminence Gadan Tri-Rinpoche.
Candidates of Sera Jey Monastic Institute who could not attend the ETSI Graduation Ceremony in person, Sera Jey Science Centre organized a brief ceremony at the Science Auditorium on 12 June 2025. Venerable Geshe Yeshe Phuntsok, Disciplinarian and Geshe Ngawang Nyingje, Administrator and Geshe Jampa Choewang, Director of Modern Education Deptt. honoured the occasion and presented the 6-Year Implementation Program of ETSI-Emory University’s Completion and Participation Certificates to the monastic science graduates. The faculty and staffs and coordinators were also presented with appreciation certificates and traditional scarves (Khatak).
The accomplishments and the event honours our gratitude to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's kindness, and His 90th Birthday - Ghoton- Year of Compassion. The ceremony successfully concluded with the appreciations to ETSI community and the faculty, staffs of Sera Jey Science Centre, of the past & present, and heartfelt Congratulations to the science graduates.

Sera Jey Monastic Institute’s new administration committee with Modern Education Department’s Director & officials paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lokanath N.K. of University of Mysore, and Prof. Daniel, Chairman of Dept. of Philosophy, on 30 May 2025. And on 4th June 2025, to The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Tumkur University, Prof. M Venkateshwarlu, Dr. K.G.Parashurama, HoD of Social Works Department, and to The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. K.B. Linge Gowda, of Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, Tumkur.

The annual Summer Camp for students of the two Tibetan settlements in Bylakuppe and other Tibetan students during the school summer vacation is scheduled from 14 May - 3 June 2025. This three week long summer camp is open to all Tibetan school students and is provided free of cost. In this summer camp, students will be familiarized & learn Buddhist prayers, values, Tibetan and English language & grammar.
The program is organized by Sera Jey Modern Education Department, as part of the monastery’s social service program.

Closing Ceremony of the 2nd Summer Camp organized by Sera Jey Monastic University and Arunachal Pradesh Buddhist Welfare Association.
The 2nd Summer Camp for Monpa Students held at Sera Jey Tashi Choeling Centre, jointly organized by Sera Jey Monastic Institute and Arunachal Pradesh Buddhist Welfare Association, concluded with a special closing ceremony on 13 May 2025.
