The annual Debate Exam on Buddhist Philosophical Studies for the year 2017 has commenced today October 25, 2017 (Tibetan Calendar: 6th day of 9th month). The exams are held for each respective classes, where each student monks will perform both the two parts of a debate - debater and defender with a contender on a topic random picked from a pool. The examination will continue for around a weeks time.

Sera Jey Monastery's abbot - Khen Rinpoche Logoan Tulku Tenzin Jampa Choesang made a short visit to Sera Jey Rudok Lhundup Choding Gompa (Monastery) from 29 Sept. - 5 Oct. 2017. Khen Rinpoche granted Tamdin Wang (Hayagriva Initiation) on 1st Oct. 2017 and Drolkar Tsewang (White Umbrella Initiation) on 2nd Oct. 2017 to devotee communities of Leh Ladhak at SJ Rudok Gompa. Khen Rinpoche visited TCV Leh Ladhak branch school, granted a talk on Moral Values with Questions & Answers session, and observed the Buddhist Dilaectic Debate presentation by students.

SJBAT Center's new location was inaugurated on 11th September 2017 by Sera Jey Monastery's abbot - Khen Rinpoche Logoan Tulku Tenzin Jampa Choesang. Mr. Dawa Tsering - Representative, Tibet Religious Foundation of H.H. the Dalai Lama, Taipei, was the Chief Guest for the Inauguration Ceremony. Center Director - Mis. Yeh, Ya-ning addressed the inauguration along side Sera Jey Monastery's administrator - Geshe Thupten Wangchuk and Center Resident Teacher - Geshe Tenzin Tsultim. Majority of founding and old members attended the inauguration.

The annual Memorization Examination for the year 2017 is scheduled from September 8 - 12. The examination are to be given in written form, a practice introduced to ascertain accuracy of pupil's memorization and also a check on grammar.

Three different examinations takes place during this annual Memorization Exam.

HE Jangtse Choeje Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche is given a warm welcome ceremony at Sera Monastery on 30th August 2017 morning upon return from enthronement ceremony at Mundgod.
