dGuthor, the traditional ritual ceremony held on 29th day of the last Tibetan Lunar month, for eliminating all ills and adversities of the past year to usher the coming new year, was conducted on 14 Feb. 2018.

It is characterized by performing specific puja and ritual ceremonies for three consecutive days 27th – 29th of the 12th Tibetan calendar month. A specially constructed flour & butter sculpture – dGu-thor Torma is ultimately incinerated on conclusion of the rituals on the 29th Day of the year’s concluding month, marking the destruction of all ills and adversities for the coming new year.
