The newly elected Dean (Ghe-gheu: Disciplinarian) - Geshe Sonam Dorjee, takes charge of the responsibility on Gaden Ngamchoe - Lama Tsong Khapa Day, 23rd December 2016, from his predecessor Geshe Yeshe Gyaltsen.
As the Dean, he maintains the entire disciplinary affairs of the monastery's community.

His Holiness The Dalai Lama will be giving a Public Talk at a Seminar organized by Social Works Department, Government of Karnataka, at Bangalore on 23rd May 2017.

The annual Written Examination for the year 2016 is scheduled on 09th and 11th of December 2016. Pupils of respective classes writes this written examination as per the course syllabus during the two day examination.

The Lharam Geshe Graduation Ceremony for the year 2016 has commenced from 30th Nov. 2016. Lharam Geshe, the highest scholastic title of Tibetan Gelug Buddhist tradition equivalent to Ph.D., are awarded to scholar monks who have successfully completed the entire monastic curriculum and six years of Gelug Monastic University's examination in Buddhist philosophy. Twenty one scholar monks are graduating the Lharam Geshe during this ceremony.
