Sera Jey Science Centre conducted the annual examination for the year 2016 on 30th November 2016 for the two science batch class. The science study is part of monastery's extra curricula studies provided to student monks since 2012.

HE Gyalwang 17th Karmapa Rinpoche Ogyen Trinley Dorje made a gracius visit at Sera Jey Rudok Monastery on 28th November 2016 during His visit to Tawang at Arunachal Pradesh.  His Excellency was accompanied by The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh - Mr. Pema Khandu and was extended a very warm reception.  

H.E.Yongzin Ling Chogtrul Rinpoche made a gracious visit to Sera Jey Monastery on 27th November, 2016 during his Geshe graduation feast offering ceremonial visits to the three-main monasteries and Tashi Lhunpo Monastery of Gelukpa.

On 24th the Administration of Sera Jey Monastery made the official presentation of Letter of Appointment (LoA) for the new Abbot to Venerable Choesang Rinpoche (alias: Gyudmed Dorjee), which was designated from The Office of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. The administration and respective dignitaries of Sera Jey Monastery, Sera Lachi and Sera Mey Monastery were present during the official presentation.

The annual Guenling (Winter Lingse) Geshe Ceremony for the 2016 was held on 19th and 20th of November 2016. Guenling is the winter graduation of the second batch of Geshe Lingse. Eight pupil monks graduated in this Winter Geshe Lingse graduation ceremony.
