In accordance to Tibetan Solidarity Committee - Dharamsala plan of conducting Special Mass Prayer at every place of Tibetan Community all across the world on 06 April 2008 from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, in dedication to the lives lost and for all those injured, arrested, suffering & hardship resulting from the ongoing communist Chinese crackdown in Tibet.
Tibetan Solidarity Committee of Bylakuppe Chapter has organized the Special Mass Prayer on 06 April 2008 from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Old Palace of His Holiness The Dalai Lama at Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement. It is expected that over ten thousand consisting of monks from all the different monasteries in Bylakuppe, nuns from
Tsogyal Shedrub Dargyeling Nunnery, lay public & students will participate in the mass prayer.
Sera Jey Monastery besides its participation by over 3000 monks is contributing to the Special Mass Prayer by offering Mid Day Meal to all participants epected to number over ten thousand.
The Monastery has prepared a special mixture of Rice & Vegtables at its common Mess Kitchen to be served at noon time at the Special Mass Prayer.
