After spending about 9 months in prisons, he escaped to India. As he came to see H.H. the Dalai Lama, he was asked to work as a director in Tibet House in Delhi and served there for four years. Later he visited United State of America and established a Dharma centre and invited H.H. the Dalai Lama to the centre. H.H. the Dalai Lama visited and stayed there for one whole week and named the centre KHANGJONG NAMGYAL.
